Last year, SFAN's visionary founder embarked on an audacious journey: attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Interviewing Marathon. For 100 continuous hours, he sat down with entrepreneurs, innovators, and changemakers from around the globe, capturing their stories and insights. The conversations were electric. The energy was palpable. The impact was undeniable.

But despite completing the grueling 100-hour marathon, technical recording difficulties resulted in incomplete evidence. And the record attempt couldn't be validated by the Guinness World Records team.

Most people would have been discouraged. Tom-Chris? He's going again.

Why Try Again? It's Bigger Than a Record

For Tom-Chris, this isn't just about getting into the record books (though that would be pretty amazing😃). The Guinness World Record attempt serves a much deeper strategic purpose for SFAN's mission.

Since 2013, SFAN has been bridging the gap between education and industry, empowering young people across Africa to launch meaningful careers. Our flagship ReadyforWork program has already transformed hundreds of lives, helping beneficiaries like Huda Ibrahim secure prestigious opportunities, including the Mandela Washington Fellowship and a $10,000 grant.

This world record attempt is a launchpad for ReadyforWork v4: an enhanced platform featuring AI-powered training modules, improved functionality, and employment matching capabilities. By creating a global spectacle during Global Student Entrepreneurship Week 2025 (October 28 - November 1), Tom-Chris is amplifying SFAN's message to audiences worldwide: every young person deserves the tools, network, and opportunities to thrive.

The marathon isn't just interviews. It's a declaration that youth empowerment deserves the world's attention.

A Partnership That Amplifies the Vision

This year's attempt comes with powerful backing. Tom-Chris has secured strategic partnership support from Bola Ray and GHOne TV, bringing broadcast credibility and reach to the record attempt. When they met recently, Tom-Chris told Bola Ray, "I'm tapping into your grace." His response? "You have it!"

With this kind of support, SFAN is positioned not just to break a record, but to spark a global conversation about entrepreneurship education and youth empowerment.

The SFAN Legacy Continues

At 12 years old, SFAN has evolved from a small classroom initiative at Radford to a continental force for youth empowerment. From incorporating in 2016 to launching ReadyforWork with Stanbic and Impact Hub support in 2018, the organization has consistently pushed boundaries.

This Guinness World Record attempt embodies the SFAN spirit: ambitious, purpose-driven, and relentlessly focused on creating opportunities for young people.

Tom-Chris isn't just trying to break a record. He's building a legacy. He's proving that when you believe in your mission, setbacks are just setups for greater comebacks.
